Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” Becomes First Album To Spend Its First Three Weeks at Number Two Spot, on Billboard 200 Chart, Since Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint”

Last month, Doja Cat delivered her highly anticipated sophomore album, “Planet Her.” This project was led by the massive hit single, “Kiss Me More,” feat. SZA. That was originally released in April, and debuted at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Planet Her contained 19 tracks in total including the deluxe edition, with appearances from The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Young Thug, JID, Eve, and Gunna. The album went on to debut at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. Now, it has set another impressive Billboard milestone.

According to Chart Data, Planet Her is still the number two album in the US. This now makes it the first album to spend its first three weeks at this spot, since Nicki Minaj’s 2015 “The Pinkprint.” There have been multiple projects to claim the number one spot over the last few weeks, which include Tyler, The Creator’s “Call Me If You Get Lost,” and Olivia Rodrigo’s latest return to the top with her “SOUR” album.

Doja’s previous album was “Hot Pink,” in November 2019, which peaked at number 9. Planet Her is currently her highest-charting album to date. Many also anticipate that a Planet Her world tour could happen by the start of 2022.
