Doja Cat’s Third Studio Album, “Planet Her,” Goes Gold

Last month, Doja Cat released her highly anticipated thrid studio album, “Planet Her.” This project was led by the massive hit single, “Kiss Me More,” feat. SZA, and “Need To Know.” The project contained other star-studded features as well, such as The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Young Thug, and JID.

Planet Her also went on to debut at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, right behind Tyler, The Creator’s “Call Me If You Get Lost.” Planet Her held this position for three consecutive weeks. It also broke the Spotify record for the biggest streaming week for an album by a female rapper, in five days.

Now, Planet Her is about to earn its first RIAA certification. According to Chart Data, it has now sold over 500,000 units. This makes the album eligible for a gold certification. Currently, Planet Her stands at number four on the Billboard 200.

Planet Her is also Doja’s highest-charting album to date. Her 2019 “Hot Pink” album previously had a peak of number nine. The Planet Her deluxe edition went on to be released a few days later, which contained four new tracks, and appearances from The Weeknd, Eve, and Gunna.
