No matter what, it seemed like the Trayvon Martin situation would become an arguing point about race. When it comes down to race and the black culture, it is only a matter of time before hip hop is brought up. Bill O’Reilly recently led the discussion about what hip hop should be doing for the black culture.
On his FOX News show, “The O’Reilly Factor,” Bill O’Reilly took aim at the hip hop community because of the violence going on with the black youth. Bill O’Reilly placed blame on the laps of Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, saying they should be doing more to help out with the problem. This led to backlash within the hip hop community.
But, on CNN, Don Lemon spoke out and not only did he agree with Bill O’Reilly, he had a lot more to say. Agreeing with what Bill O’Reilly said, Don Lemon went on to say he felt Bill O’Reilly should have been more critical. Throwing a lot of shade at the black community, he said the culture needs to clean its act up.
