Don Lemon fired from CNN after seventeen years of work
Don Lemon has become a cultural icon, during his time at CNN. In 2020, he reached new levels of fame, due to his work. Lemon’s commentary during the lockdown and throughout the campaign season made him a household name. However, Chris Cuomo, the anchor of the show after Lemon’s, was fired not long after the season. Meanwhile, Don Lemon himself made some controversial comments about Nikki Haley, a couple of months ago. This afternoon, Lemon announced that CNN let him go.
Don Lemon faced some serious allegations a year and a half ago. At the time, those allegations looked as if they would end his career, in addition to risking his job. However, those allegations came and went. In the time since, Don Lemon has gone back to doing what he does best. As a political commentator, Lemon has people who love him and people who don’t. However, all of those people expect Lemon to deliver on his commentary.
Don Lemon revealed he will not be offering any more commentary on CNN. This afternoon, he took to social media with an announcement about his firing. Among other things, Don Lemon said he was “stunned” to discover he was being ousted from the network. In addition, he mentioned he had been a part of CNN for the past seventeen years. Now, Don Lemon will be looking for employment with another company.
