Honestly, since the emergence of Drake, and the Toronto hip hop scene, along with other cities, New York City hasn’t had the same kind of hype, as before. In 2011, French Montana was championed as the savior. Then, in 2013, Troy Ave appointed himself as the next up.
However, even with Cardi B dominating the game, New York City has been dominating for some time. Since last year, Young M.A, A Boogie, Casanova, Manolo Rose, and Don Q have been doing well. Here recently, Don Q has really seen his star rise.
Recently, Don Q, and his team, were riding through New York City, when they were stopped by the police. The stop led to a search, which landed Don Q behind bars. His vehicle was found with a bag of marijuana and a .22 Beretta, which led to Don Q being arrested.
