The news is never not all over the place, but local news can be a little extra, during hurricane season. If one is to just tell the truth, all that is ever known about a hurricane is that it’s bad. Where it’s going to hit is a mystery until it does.
Almost every aspect of life, in the 21st Century, is an estimation. A lot of guesses, based off what a storm is doing, now, and what other storms of the past have done. Since the announcement of Hurricane Dorian, it appeared as if it would hit South Florida hard.
Because South Florida, anchored by Miami and Fort Lauderdale, predicted a huge hit, they prepared accordingly. Updated forecasts now have the storm missing South Florida, and possibly the entire state, now headed for the Carolinas, where Hurricane Florence of 2018 did so much damage. This change has Florida Twitter beyond upset, as they have now began trashing Hurricane Dorian, and clowning the news and weather outlets.
