Close to twenty five years since Dr. Dre first emerged to stardom with NWA, he has come a long way. Hip hop’s first billion dollar deal included Dr. Dre and many have dubbed him as hip hop’s first billionaire. But, those who actually know the terms of the deal, know Dr. Dre only made $800 million.
Even before the deal was finalized, Dr. Dre was treating it as it was. There were rumors that Apple was reconsidering the deal because of Dr. Dre prematurely announcing the deal. Rumors also suggested Dr. Dre would purchase Tom Brady’s $60 million mansion, which he did before selling his own place for $35 million.
Dr. Dre’s financial decisions since his major cash out have been questionable, to say the least. But, Radar Online’s latest rumors about Dr. Dre should have many questioning his business acumen. According to them, Dr. Dre recently visited a West Hollywood hotel and tipped a waitress $5,000 for tequila shots.
