Drake announces Summer Jam: Reloaded [VIDEO]

After endless stories surrounding Nicki Minaj not performing and Young Money backing out of Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012, the story has died down. Initially an issue between Nicki Minaj and Hot 97 personality, Peter Rosenberg, eventually the feud became Hot 97 vs. Power 105.1. The two stations have been engaged in a media war for well over a decade.

Though there has not been much discussion about Young Money/Hot 97 in recent days, no one has forgotten what happened. In spite of everything that has gone on, Young Money has remained popular and Drake is currently the franchise player. Promoting Take Care with his “Club Paradise” tour, Drake made a major announcement earlier today.

Drake recently revealed Young Money was going to make up for not being at Hot 97 Summer Jam with their own event, Summer Jam: Reloaded. Using his “Club Paradise” tour as the platform, Drake revealed he was going to do his own Summer Jam, since Hot 97 “fucked up Summer Jam.” The upcoming Drake concert will take place at Jones Beach Theater.
