Drake did the impossible, over the course of his career. When his career began, people looked at him differently. Most rappers came from rough backgrounds and from traditional cities. Here Drake comes, though, as he was from Toronto. Also, he was already famous due to being on “Degrassi.” None of this stopped him from becoming one of the most successful rappers of all-time. He’s had fifteen years on top of the game. Now, he’s into the sports betting, and he won $1.2 million betting on the Chiefs.
Drake succeeded by surrounding himself with industry heavyweights. As his career was rising, he wound up catching the attention of Lil Wayne. During this time, Wayne was the hottest rapper in the game. He signed Drake and then he ended up going to prison. The period of time when Wayne was behind bars saw Drake completely take over the game. When Wayne was released, he slowly took a background role, allowing Drake the room to dominate the game.
Drake is now a boss in his own right, successfully running OVO. Through his career, Drake has drawn from all of the rappers before him. His longevity, paired with commercial success, is compared to Jay-Z. In terms of his melodic style, he’s often compared to Ja Rule and Nelly. The domination of his numbers draws 50 Cent comparisons. But, his love for betting on professional sports is his own things. When it came to the Super Bowl, he bet on the Chiefs, winning over $1 million. Now, he’s celebrating this win.
