Drake delays “Nothing Was the Same,” will perform at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards

A lot of jokes have been thrown out about Drake this year. This is nothing new for him, but he has had a better response this year, great music. Early this year, Drake posted the first hip hop hit of the year with “Started from the Bottom” and then “5 AM in Toronto,” both of which did well.

Nothing Was the Same set the stage and was expected to be the biggest hip hop release of the year. But, with Jay-Z dropping Magna Carta Holy Grail and Drake scheduling his album release the same day as Grand Theft Auto V, pickings looked slim. Drake has heard these jokes and now he is taking action.

Fans expecting the album will not have to wait long, as he has pushed the album back one week to September 24. Drake will now face off against DJ Khaled, who had plenty of jokes for him on Instagram. In other news, Drake will also be performing at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
