Despite his immense popularity when he first gained mainstream attention, Drake has often received slight for one reason or another. When he would rap about nothing being handed to him, it often became the subject of jokes. Drake maintains, however, this is indeed true, he came from nothing.
While Drake always dreamed of being a famous rapper, he found he also had talent in acting. His first doses of fame came from him starring in “Degrassi,” but Drake would leave the series to focus on music. Lil Wayne signed him to Young Money, but fans had a hard time separating Drake from “Jimmy.”
“Started from the Bottom” came out only one week ago, but it already the anthem. Still, the jokes are pouring in, but Drake has not hesitated to set the record straight. Indeed starting from the bottom, Drake explained to MTV News exactly how far he has come over the years.
