Drake sadly postponed the release of his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy” album last month. Back in October on his birthday, he revealed that the release date was set for January but never clarified which day that would be. 20 days into the month, he hit fans with the disappointing announcement as he revealed he would be rehabbing his knee that underwent surgery last fall.

“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” said Drake in his Instagram stories on the day of the postponement. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”

Drake may be teasing fans now as on Thursday night, he took to his Instagram stories to possibly hint at CLB finally being on the way. All he posted was a black owl, which hints at his OVO brand. This animal was standing in trees as it sported its red eyes. From this point, Drake fans roared with excitement on social media as they believe that the wait may be over soon.

Hopefully, CLB does come out by the summer as fans have waited months for this to drop. This would also be Drake’s first album since summer 2018’s “Scorpion.”
