This is how it’s evident that a rapper has pull in the game. Not only did the year of 2017 see Drake take the whole year off, he went number one as soon as he returned. Thus, 2018 has been all about Drake, though he’s shared the spotlight with Cardi B.

Drake dropped “God’s Plan” and the record instantly topped Billboard, with much fanfare. When the spring hit, Drake dropped “Nice For What” and killed it, again. With summer coming to a close, Drake has his single, “In My Feelings,” taking over everything.

The “In My Feelings” challenge has really propelled Drake to his third consecutive number one hit. In the midst of this, Drake ended his run with Cash Money Records. But, he still is getting people in Egypt in trouble, as people doing the challenge are causing car accidents, so Egyptian government officials are considering making the dance a felony.
