On his debut album, Drake raps about the connection between sports and rap music. He speaks on the unspoken desires from people on each side to be in the other field. Throughout his career, Drake has remained close to the NBA, moving to Miami to support the Heat in 2010.
Still, Drake showed love to the Toronto Raptors, but they weren’t much of a factor until last season. It was then when Drake joined the Raptors as a brand ambassador. While he bought property in Cleveland to support his friend, LeBron James, Drake is holding the Raptors down.
In their last game before the All-Star Game, the Toronto Raptors hosted the Washington Wizards. Towards the end of the game, a playful Drake grabbed Paul Pierce’s arm as he was inbounding the ball to his Wizards teammates. However, Paul Pierce wasn’t in a playful mood and he shoved Drake after this incident.
