For various reasons, Drake stayed out of the feud between Lil Wayne and Jay-Z. Both Carter men have gone back and forth between being friends and enemies. But, one of the first legends to co-sign Drake was Jay-Z. Appearing on his Thank Me Later debut, Drake has always paid homage to Jay-Z.
Coming into 2013, Jay-Z re-entered the game and he has not looked back since then. A lot of rumors point to there being a new album to go along with the new baby Jay-Z is rumored to be having with Beyonce. Along the way, Jay-Z is rumored to have collaborations coming up with many of the biggest names.
Drake is coming back hard with Nothing Was the Same. Slighted by the game and written off as “soft,” Drake came back with straight hip hop singles. “Started from the Bottom” and “5 AM in Toronto” have done very well. But, they both would be trumped by a new single from Drake featuring Jay-Z. Earlier today, they released a photo of them in the studio together.
