Early this year, Drake decided he was going to surprise the game with some new music. Literally out of nowhere, Drake released If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, back in February. This week, physical copies of the album have been released.
Drake has gone platinum in two months off the album, joining J. Cole as the only two platinum rappers in the game, right now. With the release of the surprise album, many questioned if he still had plans to release his original fourth album. In 2014, he announced Views From The 6.
Last summer, Drake announced Views From The 6 and then released the single, “0 To 100 / The Catch Up,” but it was a non-album single. Even though his album is only two months old, Drake is still working on Views From The 6 for a 2015 release. Speaking to Four Pins at Coachella, Drake revealed the album was coming this year and he has a Beyonce feature.
