Drake misses headlining set at Lollapalooza Brazil
On Sunday night, Drake was supposed to headline the final night of the Lollapalooza festival, in Brazil, in the city of Sao Paulo. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, as he never showed up. As a result, Lollapalooza Brazil explained what led to this situation.
Lollapalooza went on to blame production issues. However, for fans attending, they blamed Drake partying with Drake in Miami, the night before. As a result, Drake’s set was replaced by Skrillex.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential to the realization of the Lollapalooza show in Sao Paulo,” explained Lollapalooza Brazil. “Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. Sorry.”
Fans are also being offered the opportunity to receive a full refund, for that final day of Lollapalooza. Meanwhile, Drake has yet to publicly speak on missing his set. This all comes after being late and cutting his sets short, for his Lollapalooza performances in Argentina and Chile, last weekend. Lollapalooza’s next festival will take place in the US, in Chicago, in August. Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, and more will headline.
