Drake helped introduce the world to Toronto when he signed with Young Money and took to the mainstream. Several other Toronto rappers have emerged to become minor stars over the past couple of years. Even though Drake gets a lot of backlash, he is still the biggest Toronto rapper ever.
Ironically, Drake’s success has coincided with the Toronto Raptors’ downfall. They never were championship-caliber teams, but they did pretty good before Chris Bosh left the team. Drake does a lot of representing for Miami, but he is forever Toronto in the heart and he proved that today.
Earlier today, news broke about Drake helping the Toronto Raptors rebrand. Later today, the official title for Drake with the Raptors was revealed. Drake was a part of his first-ever NBA press conference and he was announced by the Toronto Raptors as the global ambassador.
