Ever since he landed his record deal, Drake has been working hard to rightfully earn the top spot. Due to his time as an actor on the teen series, “Degrassi,” many people wrote Drake off. First, he had to prove he could really rap. After proving it time and time again, Drake has to prove he is going to be around for a while.
Nearly two months after the release of Thank Me Later, Drake is already back in the lab. Not only is he working on a new mixtape, but he is also working on his next album. Drake hopes to get a new mixtape out before the end of the year. The new mixtape will also be used to promote his next album.
Drake has a plan to keep himself out there even with no actual music of his own out. In November, Lil Wayne will be out of prison and Drake will be on his music. Nicki Minaj is preparing for the release of her Alter Ego album and Drake also has vocals on her album, along with the new album from Bow Wow. Then, outside of the Young Money camp, Drake will be collaborating.
Following the collaborations and the music from his next mixtape, Drake will release his second album. A few months ago, Drake spoke on the album and said he would possibly title it Moments. He said it is the moments, as opposed to the legacy, that keep the fans tuned into the artist of the moment.
