Obviously, Drake is having the time of his life and this new peak in his career came without even dropping an album. This shows a change in hip hop likely to remain forever. Reportedly, Drake plans to release his album, Views From The 6, this year.

But, Drake has had most of his 2015 success off his mixtapes, the one from early this year and the one with Future. Outside of the projects, he dropped a non album single in “Hotline Bling” that took off. The song rose to the top two on the charts.

A lot of people felt Drake would take the top spot with “Hotline Bling” from The Weeknd, number one with “The Hills.” Ironically, The Weeknd is signed to Drake’s OVO label. Well, OVO stayed number one on Billboard, but Drake will have to wait at least another week for his first US number one hit.
