Drake reveals release date for “Tha Carter V” in New Orleans [VIDEO]

The whole entertainment world is currently in New Orleans in time for the 2014 NBA All-Star Game. Since Friday, the whole hip hop world has been doing everything from New Orleans. This also provided Cash Money Records an opportunity to return to its roots.

Cash Money Records was initially a local record label in New Orleans, but it eventually grew into what it is today. Drake is a hip hop historian and he loves the roots of his label. Often, Drake has stated how much New Orleans has influenced his style over the years.

When Drake performed this weekend in New Orleans, he revealed just how much influence he could have over the city. Recently, Drake performed and he revealed the release date for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V. The album is indeed due this year and Drake revealed the album will be released on May 5.
