Drake Sent In His Verse For Meek Mill’s “Going Bad” On “Championships” Album Seven Hours Before It Released

Meek Mill released his fourth studio album “Championships” on Friday and has been met with very positive reviews by fans of the MMG artist. One notable record was the Drake-assisted “Going Bad.” This is the first collaboration between Meek and Drake since their infamous 2015 beef that has since been squashed this fall.

Listeners were feeling Drake’s verse on this record. According to Complex’s “Everyday Struggle” host Wayno, he was told that Drizzy submitted his verse for Going Bad seven hours before Championship dropped. It’s a bit surprising because I expected this record to have been done almost right after Meek and Drake killed their beef. The mixing and mastering process to get Drake’s verse in on such short notice must’ve been very impressive as well.

Drake and Meek have done very well in the past on previous records such as 2012’s “Amen” on Meek’s “Dreams and Nightmares” album and “R.I.C.O.” on Meek’s 2015 “Dreams Worth More Than Money” album. Going Bad continues that trend for two of the hottest artists in the game
