Drake has taken the game to new heights, over the past fourteen years. Even though Drake had the wave, few people saw him lasting this long. For so long, people have questioned who the “next big thing” would be. Ultimately, Drake ended up being that and then some. Fourteen years ago, he dropped his first major label project, and hasn’t looked back. Nearly every year, Drake has released a new project. Even still, he remains humble, as he took a fan’s phone who was recording him, and recorded himself.
Drake took a unique journey to the top of the rap game. Honestly, the path he traveled shows that nothing is more important than making good music. Prior to 2009, few people would have said a Toronto rapper who sings could dominate the game. Furthermore, nobody saw the kid from “Degrassi” filling that role. Ultimately, Drake proved he could make hit records at will. When it came down to having a good time, Drake owns that soundtrack. As a result, he wins.
Drake gave one fan one of the biggest moments of their lives. Attending a Drake concert on the front row is big enough, within itself. However, as they were recording the show, Drake gave back in a major way. As the fan was recording, Drake noticed this. Unlike other artists who have taken fans’ phones and destroyed them, Drake did one better. He ended up taking the phone, holding the mic in one hand, and the phone in the other, selfie recording his performance for the fan.
