Drake takes shots at Birdman on #FamilyFeud, says he should own “half the label” (Cash Money Records)

Until 2014, all appeared to be well between Lil Wayne and Birdman. At the time, Young Money just signed Chanel West Coast and Wayne dropped Rise of an Empire. That album, the Young Money compilation, turned out to be Wayne’s final official album release.

However, many viewed that album as a preview for Tha Carter V, which was set to drop in December. When the album didn’t come, Lil Wayne called Birdman out, on Instagram. Despite Cortez Bryant trying to play it off, Lil Wayne didn’t let up, soon filing a lawsuit.

Drake and Nicki Minaj maintained silence, throughout this entire situation. Reuniting with Lil Wayne on “Family Feud,” Drake decided to air some things out. Without naming names, Drake calls Birdman out for not paying Wayne, adding he should own “half the label,” which is Cash Money.
