In a matter of three years, Drake has distanced himself from his past career as an actor and has become one of the biggest rappers in the game. Back in 2009, Drake was the most-popular unsigned artist in the game and he signed with Young Money, which was buzzing from Lil Wayne’s success. It has been an incredible journey, as Drake went from underground to mainstream success.

Earlier this year, Drake launched his “Club Paradise” tour, named after the song he released days before his Take Care album. Initially, the tour was rather short, beginning in Miami in Feburary and concluding in March. However, Drake decided to re-start the tour, adding 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, French Montana, and Waka Flocka Flame, four of the most-popular rappers in the game.

MTV News’ Sway Calloway recently caught up with Drake and he explained his growth from the So Far Gone tour until now. Drake also discussed the concept for the tour and spoke on the woman who helped him come up with the idea. In a little over a month since the re-launch of the tour, Drake has experienced much success on this tour.
