From a creative standpoint, Drake continues to push the creative envelope and it could not come at a better time. Next month, Drake is preparing to release his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same. In anticipation for this new album, Drake released the first official single, “Hold On, We’re Coming Home.”
Showing Drake’s continued growth as an artist, “Hold On, We’re Coming Home” features Majid Jordan. Before this single, Drake already had out “Started from the Bottom,” “5 AM in Toronto,” and “All Me” with Big Sean and 2 Chainz. All of those songs were good hype, but now the real promotion begins.
Drake recently sat down with MTV News and he spoke on his new single. The record has done well, especially since it was only put out yesterday. As the song continues to climb, Drake told MTV that the chemistry with him and 40 was like Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson and this is his most-daring record yet.
