Drake wins Hip-Hop Artist of the Year award at #iHeartAwards2022

Drake wins Hip-Hop Artist of the year award at iHeart Radio Music Awards

The iHeart Radio Music Awards went down on Tuesday night, and plenty of hip-hop stars were honored, including Drake. Drake is coming off of an amazing 2021, and took home a prized award at these awards, in Los Angeles.

Drake took home the award for Hip-Hop Artist of the year. He arguably had the biggest 2021 out of any hip-hop artist, as he released two projects, that year. One of them was his “Scary Hours II” EP, in March. That contained three tracks, with appearances from Lil Baby and Rick Ross. All three songs debuted in the top three, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In September 2021, Drake went on to release his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy.” That became his sixth consecutive number one album, as every album in his career debuted at the top spot. 21 songs were included, along with appearances from 21 Savage, Tems, Ty Dolla $ign, Jay Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and more. CLB went on to have the number one song in the country as well, which was “Way 2 Sexy,” featuring Future and Young Thug.
