Drakeo The Ruler Dies From Stabbing Incident At LA Festival
Last night, Drakeo The Ruler was supposed to perform at the Once Upon A Time In LA Festival. Other huge names on the lineup included YG, Dom Kennedy, Ice Cube, Warren G, Snoop Dogg, and more.
Before Drakeo was supposed to hit the stage though, an altercation ensued, where he ended up being stabbed in the neck. He was transferred to a local hospital, in critical condition. Drakeo’s status remained unknown throughout the night, as rumors soon circulated that he did pass away.
Drake went on to put up an “RIP Drakeo” post on Instagram, which led many to believe that the bad news was true. Now, it is official. According to TMZ, Drakeo died of his injuries, as he was originally stabbed backstage, at the festival.
The festival was held at the L.A.’s Exposition Park, as a fight broke out at 8:30pm PT. According to police, the altercation did lead to Drakeo getting stabbed. The concerts ended up getting shut down early as well, in the aftermath of the deadly stabbing.
Drakeo was one of the hottest rising rappers in Los Angeles. He was very consistent in 2021, by putting out projects such as “The Truth Hurts,” “Ain’t That The Truth,” and “So Cold I Do Em 2,” which was released on December 7. Drakeo also had a buzzing Drake collaboration, in “Talk To Me.“
