Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” Album, Has Biggest First Week Sales Debut, of 2021

Drake finally released his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” last week, after a nine-month delay. This project was initially projected to sell over 600,000 units, and debit at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. Now, Drake has secured another top spot.

CLB is now Drake’s sixth straight number one album, as every album of his career has hit this mark. According to Chart Data, CLB sold 613,000 units in its first week. 46,000 were in pure sales, and 743.7 million on-demand streams were accumulated.

Drake also earns the biggest album sales week, for any artist, in 2021. He also becomes the eighth artist in history, to earn at least 10 number one projects on the Billboard 200 chart. CLB is his sixth straight number one studio album as well.

CLB contained 21 tracks in total, with appearances from Jay Z, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Young Thug, 21 Savage, and more. The most popular record so far, appears to be “Way 2 Sexy,” ft. Future and Young Thug, as it’s already gone gold.
