Drake’s Dad Says His Son’s Lyrics About Him Being A DeadBeat Aren’t True; Drake Responds, “Every Bar I Ever Spit Was The Truth”
Appearing on Nick Cannon’s Power 106’s morning radio show, Drake’s father Dennis Graham, spoke on his son’s numerous lyrics that’ve portrayed him as an absentee father. When asked about how he felt regarding this narrative in Drake’s artistic lore, he answered Cannon stating that it wasn’t true.
Graham said that he had a “deep conversation” where he asked why Drake was characterizing him as a deadbeat. The response he got was that the deadbeat dad narrative sells records. By saying that his son basically said all that to sell records, it further insinuates that Drake is lying in his raps.
Well that didn’t go over too well with Sir Drizzy. Once Drake caught win of his dad’s claims, he went on Instagram claiming that he never lied about his lyrics regarding his dad’s absence.
“Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen. Every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”
