Drake’s “Knife Talk” becomes best-seller from “Certified Lover Boy” album
Back in September, Drake finally released his highly anticipated sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy.” That project was delayed by nine months, but didn’t disappoint, when finally released.
CLB contained 21 tracks, with appearances from Jay Z, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and more. “Way 2 Sexy,” featuring Future and Young Thug went on to become the number one song in the country, as it wasn’t even a lead single.
CLB went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. It also marked Drake’s sixth straight number one album, as every album in his career has hit this milestone. CLB also became Drake’s second project of 2021, next to his “Scary Hours 2” EP, that spring.
Another one of the biggest songs from CLB, was “Knife Talk.” This also included 21 Savage and Project Pat. It’s built plenty of momentum since then, as it peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Now, it has sold over 3 million units in the US, according to Chart Data. With the 3 million units, Knife Talk is now 3x platinum, and the best seller from CLB.
