On this day in 2011, Drake released arguably his most popular studio album, “Take Care.” This project was led by hit singles such as “Make Me Proud” ft. Nicki Minaj and “The Motto”, ft. Tyga and Lil Wayne, and “Marvin’s Room.”
Take Care also featured appearances from The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Andre 3000, and more. The album went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. This is the second of sixth consecutive number one albums, for Drake.
Production of Take Care, was handled by several star producers, including Drake’s go-to ones. These include 40 and Boi-1da. T-Minus and Just Blaze also contributed.
Currently, Take Care is certified 6x platinum, in the US. On the Billboard 200 chart, the album now stands at number 91, on the Billboard 200.
