Draymond Green considered retirement during his suspension
Draymond Green is blamed for ruining the Warriors’ chemistry. Before the start of last season, he had the incident with Jordan Poole. Last season saw the Warriors only go 44-38. In the playoffs, they lost before reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014. In an effort to retool, Poole was traded, and then Chris Paul was brought in. After a 5-1 start, the Warriors fell apart, and Draymond started physically attacking opposing players. So, he was suspended indefinitely, and wanted to retire.
Draymond Green rose to become the Golden State Warriors’ enforcer. He was key on each of those teams that went to the NBA Finals. During the middle of those Finals runs, the Warriors added Kevin Durant, which produced two more titles. However, there were fans who credited Draymond for recruiting KD. In addition, many fans blamed Draymond for KD leaving. When KD and Draymond did an interview together, they discussed what took place.
Draymond Green choked Rudy Gobert, when the Warriors played the Timberwolves. After that, he ended up shoving Jusuf Nurkic, when the Warriors played the Phoenix Suns. As a result, the NBA stepped in and gave Draymond an indefinite suspension. Recently, Draymond was reinstated, and he took to his podcast to speak on it. He said he was close to retiring, but NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, talked him out of it.
