The other single off the upcoming ‘Revenge of the Dreamer 3’ compilation album from Dreamville is an R&B selection featuring the group’s singer Ari Lennox. The tilted track, “Got Me”, features Ari Lennox, Omen, Ty Dolla $ign, and Chicago’s Dreezy. This second entry gives us great lyrical and vocal efforts from everyone involved. The composition of the song sums up to be an ever so classic yet timeless calling card to the concept of being down for your significant other through the ups and downs. The unique take on this song’s production is that it makes great use of a Drake-style lo-fi sample of what I would guess are the notable chunks of a 90’s R&B record buried underneath the bass line and hi-hat progression.
