Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Daughter Following Family Tradition and Joins WWE Entertainment; Seeking to Become First Fourth Generation WWE Athlete

Dwayne Johnson’s daughter signs contract to join WWE

It looks like the apple doesn’t fall too far from the rock bottom tree. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had a proud dad moment. Recently, he announced that his oldest daughter, Simone Johnson, would be following in the family tradition of becoming a WWE wrestler.

The WWE Network announced Monday that the 18-year-old has signed her contract. In addition, she has begun training at the WWE Performance Center. The facility is located in Orlando, Florida. As a result of her signing, The Rock had this to say:

“To the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & said ‘this will be my life one day’, this is for you. I’m humbled, grateful & ready to work. Let’s do this.”

Simone Johnson is aspiring to follow in the footsteps of her father, grandfather and great-grandfather. If she does, she will become the first ever fourth generation WWE superstar. Her father, The Rock, was the first ever third generation WWE athlete. In addition, The Rock used this platform to launch a successful career outside of wrestling. Dwayne Johnson is one of the most bankable Hollywood stars. He’s had a hugely successful film career.

Simone Johnson seems to be making a great first impression with her trainers at camp. As a result, they’ve had this to say about working with Miss Johnson:

“Simone is a wonderful girl,” WWE Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato said in a statement. “She’s like a sponge, it’s pretty amazing. She knows what it takes to succeed and all the hard work and sacrifice that goes into it. I wouldn’t have expected anything less.”
