Even if the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards had not been full of controversy, it was still set to be one of the biggest events in hip hop. However, the weekend was full of controversy and even a bit of peace. The biggest headline came when Young Jeezy and Rick Ross fought. Comments from Funkmaster Flex, DJ Drama, and Machine Gun Kelly came.

Machine Gun Kelly would also get wrapped up in his own controversy. The Cleveland rapper would perform at the Microsoft Store at the Lenox Mall. Set to perform a few of his singles, things soon got out of hand with him. Soon, Machine Gun Kelly was kicked out of the event, with the news coming the same day Gunplay fought several members of G-Unit.

Another major story was 50 Cent and Fat Joe, which ended their longstanding feud. E-40 was also in attendance at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards. At the entrance of the award show, the popular Bay Area rapper was cornered by Hip Hop Wired. During their conversation, E-40 announced his upcoming 4, 5, and 6th installments of The Block Brochure. The current release date is March 26, 2013.
