Since being released from reform school, Earl Sweatshirt has been the topic of discussion. Sweatshirt, a member of the controversial West Coast group, Odd Future, was sent to reform school in 2010. The following year, Odd Future went on to gain national fame and success. This success was due, primarily, to the eccentric style of Odd Future leader, Tyler, the Creator.

Earl Sweatshirt conducted his first interview with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg, earlier this week. Before being sent away, Odd Future was a little more than a hobby. Upon his return, Odd Future has become one of the biggest new names in the game and Tyler, the Creator was voted ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

Odd Future returned to MTV for RapFix Live yesterday, where they discussed their rise. In his second interview, Earl Sweatshirt was asked about Odd Future’s rise. Among other things, Sweatshirt said their rise has been “crazy.”
