Edwards laughs as Booker clashes with McDaniels in Game 3

During Game 3 of the Timberwolves-Suns series, tensions flared. As a result, this provided a dramatic spectacle for basketball fans. The incident started when Devin Booker displayed frustration by slapping the ball from Timberwolves’ player Jaden McDaniels’ hands, after being fouled.

In response to Booker’s aggressive gesture, Anthony Edwards approached and began laughing at Booker. Edwards’ reaction highlighted the intense emotions and psychological games often present in high-stakes playoff games. This interaction between Edwards and Booker quickly became a focal point of the game, drawing reactions from fans and commentators alike.

Booker’s actions were seen as an attempt to assert dominance and intimidate. That’s a common tactic in the heat of playoff basketball. However, Edwards’ laughter seemed to downplay Booker’s intensity, possibly aiming to defuse the tension, while rallying his team.

Already, the Timberwolves were leading the game by nearly twenty points. The strong play from Edwards, along with Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert propelled that. Booker’s frustration came mostly from being down by such a large margin at home. After that, his Suns would lose at home in a blowout. In addition, they fell behind 3-0 in the series.

The Suns lost 126-109 at home. Now, they have one more game. Game 4 will take place on April 28 at 9:30 PM EST, in Phoenix.
