Eight injured in shooting during social media gathering in Boston
In the early hours of Sunday, a shooting incident took place at a social media-organized gathering in Methuen, Massachusetts. As a result, eight people wound up being injured. Methuen Police reported receiving multiple 911 calls around 1:55 a.m. directing them to 100 Lindberg Avenue, where hundreds of attendees had gathered.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a chaotic scene with seven individuals struck by bullets and an eighth person injured while attempting to escape the violence. The victims, ranging in age from their late teens to 22 years old, were immediately transported to local hospitals. Two are reported to be in critical condition.
The gathering, initially planned as a social event, quickly turned tragic, alarming the small community. Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are reviewing security footage from nearby businesses to identify the perpetrators. Despite the swift response, no arrests have been made thus far.
