Eighteen year old boy breaks into Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion

Teenager burglarized Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion

Michael Jordan is a cultural icon and is widely regarded as the NBA’s best player of all-time. As a result, Jordan is also one of the wealthiest individuals in the United States. Due to him building his profile and his fortune in Chicago, that’s where one of his nicest homes is. With Jordan now being the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, a great deal of his time is spent in North Carolina. It’s safe to assume he’s barely in Chicago. An eighteen year old made this assumption, broke in, and wound up in jail.

During his playing career, Michael Jordan built the Highland Park mansion. The gates at the entrance of the mansion boast a “2” on the left gate and a “3” on the right gate. This indicates Jordan’s playing number, 23. From 1984 until 1998, Michael Jordan primarily operated out of Chicago. After 1998, he left Chicago. Around a decade ago, Jordan listed his Highland Park mansion for sale. The property is worth $15 million.

While Michael Jordan is more than likely never at this mansion, one young man decided to be. For reasons unknown, the young man managed to break into the gate and go on the property. The mansion sits on 7.37 acres. In addition, the home itself boasts nine bedrooms and seventeen bathrooms. Upon entering the property, he was quickly spotted. After that, he was arrested and charged with trespassing.
