Eminem talks “MMLP2” and says it is not necessarily a sequel to “The Marshall Mathers LP”

Fans of real hip hop music were treated with tons of releases this year. Not only have the current players, Lil Wayne, Wale, Ace Hood, Future, Drake, DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross been active, but several veterans have also made comebacks. This summer, there were releases from Jay-Z and Eminem is coming this fall.

Eminem shuts the internet down every time he has an update from his forthcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Many have considered the album to be a sequel to his 2000 release and that is due to the title. But, Eminem had a different story to tell in his latest interview.

Rolling Stone caught up with Eminem and he was telling the readers what fans should expect from his new album. While MMLP2 boasts a similar title to The Marshall Mathers LP, it is not exactly a sequel. Eminem likens this album to a little more of a revisit to his roots instead of a sequel.
