Eminem talks singing, Detroit, performing, and more with Zane Lowe [VIDEO]

Eminem Zane LoweAs much as Eminem has changed since 1999, he has kept one element throughout his career. Though he never claimed to be a singer, Eminem has always had a bit of a melody to his music. Eminem sang hooks on such tracks as “Encore,” “Cleaning Out My Closet,” and “8 Mile,” along with many others.

Pursuing music led Eminem to Los Angeles where Dr. Dre signed him to Aftermath, which brought him to Interscope. Much of Eminem’s time was spent in Los Angeles, but he kept his home in Detroit. Each time Eminem has gone on hiatus, he returns to his home in Detroit.

In the fourth installment of his interview with Zane Lowe, Eminem talked about both singing and Detroit. Through his career, there have been a multitude of changes, but what’s remained the same is his drive. This was the basis of the fourth part of the interview.
