In a little under two years, “Empire” has built an incredible and loyal fan base. Yes, viewership cooled from the 20 million viewers a week from the early episodes, but the show still retained 9 million. That is a lot of people.
Due to the Presidential Debate and the World Series, “Empire” is taking a hiatus. However, the cast of “Empire” is still tweeting with fans about some favorite moments of the show. While fans are participating, they’d prefer to have some new “Empire” moments tonight.
“Empire” fans have flooded Twitter and the show is the number one trending topic with no new episode. Despite the show officially endorsing Hillary Clinton, the fans don’t want to watch her, they want “Empire” despite the controversial endorsement. They have Twitter almost shut down, because they’re upset at missing their show.
