#Empire is nominated for a Grammy and hit four week high in fall finale ratings #GRAMMYS

#WhoPushedRhondaIntrigue, mystery, and hip hop proved to be the winning formula for both Lee Daniels and FOX with “Empire.” Seemingly without effort, the show propelled itself to number one in the ratings. Debuting in January, the series broke all kinds of television records.

Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, “Empire” has made breakout stars out of Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, and Grace Gealey. During last week’s mid-season finale, each of them delivered compelling performances. It was enough to get people into it.

“Empire” is a unique series and it makes television history, again, as it is nominated for a Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Ironically, this news comes as Jamal (Smollett) and Lucious (Howard) are up for fictional American Sound Awards. In addition to this, “Empire” dominated the ratings, hitting a four week high, shooting up to 11.2 million viewers.
