“Empire” season one was a bigger success than many thought

After one season, everyone is talking about “Empire,” the FOX breakout drama. Created by Lee Daniels, “Empire” is a soap opera based on the hip hop industry. The show stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, featuring a plethora of celebrity guest stars.
Jussie Smollett was the breakout star of the show, portraying the out son of Howard and Henson’s main characters. This, his real life story, and his music talent made Smollett a major new star. In its first season, “Empire” made a record-breaking impact on the world.
“Empire” is a show rumored to be cancelled, which upset people because of the high ratings. Many high-rated shows get cancelled all the time, but FOX isn’t going to let that happen, at least at this point. When it comes to actual ad revenue, “Empire” was a winner and it brought major money in, which is what is most important to the executives, so they love the show, too.
