#EMPIRE SPOILER ALERT: Lyon family member who dies is revealed months before #EmpireSeason3

Last night, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) and Anika (Grace Gealey) fought to the death. Already, “Empire” let it be known that a prominent member of the Lyon family would die. Promos played up Jamal (Jussie Smollett) being killed off, but it was a TV red herring.

Instead, Anika officially became a Lyon when Lucious (Terrence Howard) married her. He betrayed Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) in the process, as they were close to getting back together. As soon as Anika wed Lucious, Rhonda tried to kill her.

“Empire” season two ended with the ladies fighting and Andre (Trai Byers) happening upon them, as they fell thirty stories. Many fans believe either Rhonda or Anika died, but it’s not that simple. According to spoilers, Anika’s baby with Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) is the Lyon who dies, thus keeping the core cast alive and intact.
