“Empire” stays at number one and sees slight increase in this week’s episode #Empire #EmpireSeason2

Empire 38Phenomenons don’t last forever and Lee Daniels and Danny Strong knew the “Empire” run wouldn’t either. However, they did know they have a top five show on their hands. That isn’t accurate, however, the show, starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson is always on top.

This week’s episode of “Empire” saw Lucious (Howard) and Cookie (Henson) battling over their sons. The method of battle went back to hip hop’s roots, as Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) went up against Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray). Hakeem dropped the Lyon after his win.

“Empire” is no longer breaking new records every week, but the FOX drama remains at number one. In fact, “Empire” has never not been number one and that trend continues, as Vivica A. Fox made her debut this week. This week, “Empire” saw their ratings slightly increase to 11.2 million viewers, up from 11 million.
