Before the NBA Playoffs began, “Empire” was all anyone could talk about. For years, there were rumblings and questions of a hip hop soap opera and if it could really happen. The photo above and the stats on it prove it can be done.
“Empire” is the brainchild of Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. Led by powerhouses, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, “Empire” has good balance. They mix in great storylines with high-profile celebrity guest stars.
The “Empire” formula has worked, as the show has not spent an episode not being heads and shoulders above every show on TV in ratings. After only a handful of episodes, “Empire” gets renewed for another season, as it did for Season 3. “Empire” announced, via Instagram, that season three comes on September 21, just as last season did.
