Until recently, Erika Alexander was a person that many people had forgotten. In the 1990s, Erika Alexander rose to the top of the entertainment world. First, she gained fame on “The Cosby Show,” coming on as Clair’s (Phylicia Rashad) cousin.
After “The Cosby Show” ended, Erika Alexander was cast in her most-iconic role, Maxine Shaw, on “Living Single.” There, she played alongside Queen Latifah, Kim Coles, Kim Fields, John Henton, and onscreen lover, TC Carson. She reprised Max on “Half & Half,” in 2005.
Erika Alexander would disappear, for the most part, from then, before showing up on Jordan Peele’s Get Out, last year. With “Living Single” going on Hulu, and with all the reboots, Erika Alexander is seeing her name bubble back up. She stopped by “The Breakfast Club” to talk black TV, with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God, where she addressed Bill Cosby, and much more.
