When it comes to alternative R&B, Erykah Badu had the market on lock for years. Her run is coming up on two decades and it’s been two decades where Erykah Badu has become a legend. Alternative by choice, she is one of the most-discussed women in the industry.

Erykah Badu is all about uplifting the urban community and this has been her message throughout her career. Of course, BET was going to have her come out and be a part of their “Black Girls Rock” 2015. It would only be fitting to have Erykah Badu perform.

During her performance, Erykah Badu enjoyed having the crowd loving her music. But, her song also included inspiring messages for the young women to take in. The audience on Twitter immediately gravitated towards this and showed Erykah Badu all types of love.
